Overview
Image Compare helps editors create accessible side-by-side or stacked image comparison snippets for EmDash posts. Paste the generated HTML or Markdown into an entry. Optionally include a Compare with Aijev AI call-to-action that links to Aijev — a free AI image comparison tool that tells you which photo is better and why.
The plugin asks for no elevated capabilities: it only uses plugin settings, plugin storage, and a Block Kit admin page.
Permissions
Plugins get only the capabilities they declare and you approve. Your EmDash admin lists these again before anything installs.
FAQ
Does this call Aijev’s API? No. The optional CTA is a normal link to https://aijev.ai/ so readers can upload photos there themselves.
Why can’t I register a Portable Text block? Sandboxed plugins cannot ship front-end renderers. This builder generates paste-ready snippets instead.
Installation
- Install Image Compare from the EmDash plugin registry (or from this package).
- Open Plugins → Image Compare to build a comparison.
- Optionally set the default CTA label/URL under plugin settings (defaults to https://aijev.ai/).
- Paste the HTML or Markdown into your post.
