Overview

deed.page Publisher adds a deed.page panel to the EmDash content editor. One click turns the saved version of a post or page into a standalone, fast-loading page at https://your-name.deed.page.

  • Publish an entry under a name you choose.
  • Update it later with one click, or automatically whenever the entry is saved while published.
  • Delete it from deed.page without touching the EmDash entry.
  • See everything you have published on the plugin's deed.page admin page.

The page is plain HTML: title, summary, body (Portable Text paragraphs, headings, lists, quotes, links, images, code), and a link back to the original when the entry is public on your site (rel="canonical").

No deed.page account is needed. The first publish creates a free deed.page owner token and saves it, encrypted, in the plugin settings.

FAQ

Does it cost anything?

No. The plugin is free and MIT licensed, and the deed.page free plan covers up to 25 sites and 60 publishes per hour. If deed.page reports a plan limit, the plugin shows its message as is; nothing is bought automatically.

Where is the deed.page token stored?

In the plugin's token setting, which EmDash encrypts at rest. It is never logged or shown in the UI. Keep your own copy (paste it into Settings to replace it): deed.page shows a new token only once, and it is the only way to manage the sites outside EmDash.

Does it publish drafts?

It publishes the saved version of the entry when you click Publish or Update. The panel warns you when the entry is not yet published on your site. Automatic updates only run for entries that are published.

What happens when I delete an entry in EmDash?

Nothing on deed.page. Use Delete from deed.page in the panel first if you want the page gone.

Can I change the name later?

Delete the deed.page copy, then publish again under a new name.

Security

  • Capabilities: content:read and network:request limited to deed.page.
  • Data sent: the rendered HTML of the entry you publish (title, summary, body, image URLs) and nothing else.
  • The deed.page owner token lives in an encrypted plugin setting and is sent only to https://deed.page as a Bearer header.

Report security issues to ops@avatar33.com.

Installation

  1. In the EmDash admin, open Plugins, find deed.page Publisher, and install it. Review the requested access: read content, and network requests to deed.page only.
  2. Open any post or page. The deed.page panel appears in the editor sidebar.
  3. Choose a name and click Publish to deed.page. The page goes live at https://<name>.deed.page.

To publish under an existing deed.page account, paste its deed_tok_... token into the plugin settings before the first publish.

Registry installs need a sandbox runner (Worker Loader on Cloudflare, or @emdash-cms/sandbox-workerd on Node.js). See the EmDash docs on installing plugins.
