Overview

Payment setup inside EmDash

DinkusKit Payments connects your DinkusKit Commerce store to Stripe and shows the payment connection's status in your EmDash admin.

  • Connect with your DinkusKit account instead of pasting API keys.
  • Set up or resume Stripe onboarding and check the connection.
  • Follow the test-order workflow before considering a live launch.

Commerce owns your products, checkout totals and orders. Payments handles the processor connection. Connect Commerce first, then add Payments to the same store.

Start with the documented Stripe test workflow. A successful test connection or test order does not establish live-payment readiness. The plugin, hosted Payments service and merchant account have separate setup requirements.

The screenshot shows initial setup in a local demonstration with no account connected and no payment made.

FAQ

Can I use Payments without Commerce?

The current released setup uses DinkusKit Commerce. Standalone Payments is planned work, not a feature of this listing.

Does a successful test mean I can take live payments?

No. Connected: Stripe test mode describes a test connection. Real customer payments require a qualified live connection and completed merchant setup. Verify the hosted service's availability and the store's current readiness; the plugin's installation alone proves neither.

Can I connect Authorize.net here?

Authorize.net adapter work exists, but this listing does not promise a released, verified Authorize.net onboarding workflow. Follow the documented Stripe test path.

Does Payments create my storefront or manage shipping?

No. Your site provides the storefront, Commerce owns products and orders, and DinkusKit Ship provides the separate shipping-label workflow. Ship is not required to test a payment.

Where can I get help or contribute?

Start with the Payments guide. For bugs, source code and contributions, visit DinkusKit Payments on GitHub. If the plugin is useful, a star helps other EmDash developers find it.

Installation

  1. Install and connect DinkusKit Commerce first. Its connection creates the store that Payments joins.
  2. Install DinkusKit Payments from the Registry in your EmDash admin.
  3. Open Dinkus Payments > Payment settings, press Connect, and follow the link to approve at DinkusKit.com.
  4. Follow the Payments guide through Stripe test setup and checking the connection.
  5. Complete the documented test-order workflow and confirm the order in Commerce before considering live payments.

Your EmDash site needs Registry sandbox support. Installing a plugin does not complete the merchant account's setup or enable live payments by itself.
